Western Spirit Cycling has partnered with Visit Bentonville and OZ Trails to provide a third location for Outerbike in 2018. After we attended the IMBA Summit there last November we knew we had to bring Outerbike to Northwest Arkansas! From the fresh air of the Ozarks to the multiple trail hubs and bike parks the area has everything we could ask for. 

As always, your registration fee buys you access to the all the bikes, lunches, beer, prizes, and entrance to our evening parties!

The Northwest Arkansas Emerging Leaders are excited to announce the 2018 Rogers Cycling Festival to be held in Rogers, Arkansas on July 27-29, 2018!  The festival consists of several road cycling and mountain bike events held in downtown Rogers, Arkansas. The Festival brings cycling enthusiasts from across the central United States and has something for everyone, from highly skilled and competitive races to family-friendly rides, including the 2018 Arkansas State Road Race Championships. Proceeds from the Festival benefit several nonprofit cycling causes in Northwest Arkansas.

This year we will head on over to Lake Wedington through a mix of road and gravel. Both Highroller Rogers and Highroller Fayetteville shops will lead folks out promptly at 2 P.M. We will stop along the way for a snack by some water and maybe even see if we can catch some fishies with our Tenkara Rods if people want.

Square 2 Square Fayetteville to Bentonville

The Spring 2018 Square 2 Square ride will roll from downtown Fayetteville to downtown Bentonville along the Razorback Greenway. Participants must register in advance and will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and finisher medal. Registration for adults (ages 14+) is $25 and for youths (ages 9-13) is $15; children under 8 do not need to register.

Syllamo's Revenge is 50 miles of some of the most technically challenging and rewarding trails in the region, so prepare for a rowdy adventure.Registration includes entry, schwag, 4 fully stocked rest stops, and a post-ride meal. We hope you'll stay and hang out with those who are camping after the event.

Please note that event registration increases from $75 to $90 on 3/21/2018. On-line registration closes on Wednesday, April 11 and day-before registration is $100. Those who register Friday evening are not guaranteed to receive event schwag. No day-of registration.

The Joe Martin Gran Fondo will consist of four courses. All routes are held on portions of the same course as the pro and amateurs have or are competing on.  And there are new routes from past years including the beast.  It may not be 110 miles, but The 74 will make you feel like a Pro after you’re finished. You get to “Become A Pro For A Day”!

  • 23-mile option
  • (NEW) The 41 – original Joe Martin race loop, but with 700′ less climbing than the 51
  • The medium course (51 miles) is held on the traditional Saturday loop race course.
  • The long course (74 miles)

Registration fee includes finisher prize, post-ride meal and beverages, access to aid stations along courses, entry into a drawing for prizes, and a goody bag with lots of sponsor products and services.

Ride thru scenic hilly Arkansas Wine Country along the Arkansas River Valley while supporting Arkansas Children's Hospital.  Choose from  17 mile, 35 mile, 100K, 80 mile, or 100 mile tours which all begin & end at Post Familie Winery.  The 100 mile, 80 mile, and 100k routes cross the Arkansas River over the Scranton Bridge to Paris and back over the Ozark Bridge finishing by going up Saint Mary's Mountain from the north to the Winery.

For 3-decades, mountain bikers have gathered on the banks of Lee Creek for a weekend celebrating the magical Ozark Mountains and the trail system that started it all... the Fossil Flats Trail.

This family-friendly weekend has something for everyone... from a rowdy big splash competition, hosted group rides, camping, cookouts, and a schedule full of various shenanigans for riders of all skill levels.

The CC Riders, the Carroll County Branch of the OORC (a founding member of our Bike Alliance), are stoked to present the Bad Moon Rising, featuring the private trail system at the Trimble Ranch in Berryville, Arkansas. With solo and team categories available… it’s 6-hours of endurance mountain biking at its best.

With free camping, laser light shows, costumes, bonfires, food, and shenanigans - grab your best buds and come experience racing in the Arkansas Ozarks by the light of a full moon!

Iron Pig Festival

The Iron Pig Festival comprises four events:

  • Duathlon (Individual and Team) - 5K Run, 30K Bike, 5K Run
  • 5K
  • Fun Run
  • Bike Time Trial

The run courses are flat and fast! The bike course is out and back on Scenic Highway 71. The finish is located just in front of the Fayetteville Executive Airport terminal at Drake Field. This course is geared to people looking for a challenge, but is not too hilly for an early season test. A good first-time event for an individual or team or a great way to kick off the race season for the seasoned athlete.

This event is for women who want to make change in their communities by getting more women involved in mountain biking. This event is also for women who want to be on the forefront of shaping IMBA’s community outreach and organizing efforts in this space. We want to be an aggregator of the best information, resources and inspiration to engage more women in mountain biking, and we want to hear from those already doing it and those who want to. Help us shape our efforts in the best possible way to affect positive change.

Get your wardrobe assistant, milliner, mustache wax and jewelry ready for NWA's first ever Tweed Ride. If you've never attended or seen one you should definitely check it out. Beautiful outfits and usually quite a few classy bikes abound as well. 

We will take a quick stroll to take a photo in front of Crystal Bridges and then stroll along to One Eyed Jacks Fine Tobacco Lounge for a snifter and or whatever you fancy. From there we will mosey on back to the Pub where we will award prizes for best dressed. Stay for 10% off your tab or get back to you cats and dogs before their game of poker gets out of hand!

Back 40 Trail Run & Ride

Back 40 Trail Run & Ride

Three distances for the run and ride are 10k, 20 mile and 40 mile. Trail runners go on Saturday and riders take their turn on Sunday. The goal is for each group to support the other on race day and to enjoy hanging out together afterwards. Race headquarters will be at Blowing Springs and the entire park will be reserved for racers. Camping will be available. Food trucks will be on site as well as a beer garden hosted by a local brewery.

Start/Finish: Blowing Springs (Bella Vista)

2nd Annual Cranksgiving NWA

Part bike ride, part food drive, and part scavenger hunt. 
All you need is a bike, a bag, and a few extra dollars. 

Come alone, bring a friend, or group. 

All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.

There is no registration fee for this event. Simply bring $20+ to purchase the food items on the shopping list. 
All food items collected will be donated to a local food pantry to ensure families in our community have a meal on Thanksgiving. 

Riders are encouraged to travel the Bentonville area to do the shopping; riders may go as short of a distance or as long of a distance as they wish.

HOG Ride On - The Cancer Challenge

 

WHO? Anyone who enjoys riding a bike and wants to support cancer-care in our community. Families are welcome to participate together!

WHAT? HOG Ride On is proudly presented by Highlands Oncology Group. This event is a leisurely, family-friendly bike ride along the Razorback Regional Greenway. The course is 13.1 miles and will begin and end at Highlands Oncology Group. When you finish the ride, there will be family fun, including food and ice cream trucks, beverages, chair massages, bike/helmet fittings, and a DJ. 

WHEN? Saturday, October 7th. Check-in begins at 10:00 a.m. and the ride will start at approximately 10:30 a.m. All festivities will conclude by 1:00 p.m.

WHERE? The ride will begin and end at Highlands Oncology Group in Rogers (808 S. 52nd St.).

WHY? All proceeds will benefit the Cancer Challenge and be used to advocate and support world-class cancer care in Northwest Arkansas. Funds are used to benefit programs that focus on cancer prevention/education, treatment/navigation and survivorship. Our partner organizations include: Arkansas Children's Northwest, Circle of Life Hospice, Community Clinic, Hope Cancer Resources, Mercy Foundation NW Arkansas, Oncology Supportive Services and Washington Regional Cancer Support Home.

OORC - Pedaling for Hunger

Join us Sunday October 1st at 3pm at Veterans Memorial Park at Lake Fayetteville for hosted FAMILY FRIENDLY group rides to help feed the hungry in Northwest Arkansas.

For each lap participants complete in an hour, Subway will donate a sandwhich to those in need!

Two route options available! You can utlize the soft-surface trails OR the Lake Fayetteville Greenway loop! All participants will start and end at the Veterans Park Pavilion and will ride counter-clockwise around the lake!

Afterwards, participants will be rewarded with snacks compliments of Subway of Fayetteville!

Bring the family for this great opportunity to make a difference in our community while enjoying the great trail offerings in Fayetteville! Tell your friends!
